Cellars at Jasper Hill collateral: Much like getting into wine, artisan cheeses can be intimidating at first. The idea here was to demystify the cheeses a bit, explaining the flavors and the personal vision of the cheesemaker, as well as giving folks pairing selections to help them get the most out of the experience.

Cellars at Jasper Hill collateral: We didn’t really know a lot about artisan cheeses when we started, and that’s part of the fun for us. It’s great to learn how a business works, understand a leader’s vision and then come up with smart ideas that bring it all to life.

Cellars at Jasper Hill logo: A design idea that came up while we were creating the collateral, this logo incorporates an architectural drawing of the Cellars itself. The client liked the idea so much, they asked us to blow it out to be used throughout the brand identity.

CELLARS AT JASPER HILL

Long story short: Two brothers decided they wanted to make cheese in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. They’re good at it, but they also realize they’re good at aging cheese, marketing it, selling it and distributing it – things that are a headache for most farmers. So the brothers decide to blow up part of their farm and create a cheese-aging business. Farmers bring in their immature cheeses, and the Cellars at Jasper Hill takes care of the rest. Everybody wins.

Methodikal was asked to help the Cellars convey its unique perspective – the tales of the Cellars itself and of all the farmers who rely on it. Each cheese has its own flavors and unique characteristics – its own terroir – a result of the land where the cows graze and the vision of the farmer. Every cheese has a story. Our job was to help them tell it.
