Middlebury Language Schools concept development: The Middlebury Language Schools and Schools Abroad are dedicated to educating students to become well-rounded global citizens. The concept we developed – Life Doesn't Come With Subtitles – explores the dire need for Americans to be better educated in language and culture.

Middlebury College Language Programs concept development: Middlebury came to us to help them announce the integration of the Monterey Institute for International Studies, as well as the launch of Middlebury Interactive Languages. With the announcements, Middlebury now offered a complete continuum of language programs, from programs aimed at school-aged kids, all the way through to professionals seeking to become translators and interpreters. The concept, called "Hello, World." Has a dual meaning, both the birth of this new suite of offerings, and the impact they have on students to open up the world.

MMLA concept development: The Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy (MMLA) is an intensive (and intense) language-learning program for precocious middle and high school students. Our work for MMLA began with a full conceptual exploration, where we looked at different ways to bring the brand to life. Through that process, we arrived at the concept of "Live. Learn. Leap." The concept represents the three pillars on which the school is based, namely that students Live in language all day, they Learn a year or more of language skills in just four weeks, and they Leap ahead of their peers in confidence and ability.

MMLA collateral: Printed collateral helps to tell the story and supports admissions counselors as they visit schools and conventions. All of our communications drive students and parents to the web, where they can get more info and apply to the school.

We've been working with Middlebury College and its associated brands for several years now, and the relationship seems to grow deeper each year. Most of our work supports Middlebury's language programs – considered by many to be the best in the world – including its newly launched for-profit company, Middlebury Interactive Languages.

Middlebury's approach centers on immersing students in language as much as possible, and our work relates that core philosophy in an interesting and appropriate concept to each audience, ranging in age from teenagers through to professionals and graduate students.

Middlebury is aggressively growing its language programs, with our creative work forming the foundation of its marketing and sales efforts. The company recognizes America's need to educate students in world languages and cultures if we are to remain competitive globally, both in business and diplomacy. This last point adds a note of urgency and importance to these communications, and creates a powerful incentive for students and their parents.
